Rasmus Bogstad, ordained in 1890. United (Lutheran) Church

Born in Gloppen, Nordfjord, Bergen on October 5, 1861. His parents were Rasmus B. and Johanne (nee Frøistad).

He immigrated in 1880 and attended Luther College  from 1883-1888 and Northfield (MN) Seminary from 1888-1890. 

Pastor at Kindred ND from 1890-1891; Salem ND, 1892-1893; Wolverton and Comstock MN, 1893-1894 & 1900-1902; Glyndon MN 1898-1899.

Professor at Concordia College, 1890-1910. Manager at Concordia 1902-1910; Manager of Spokane College, 1913-1914, Columbia College 1913-present.

Chairman, English Conference; United Church Trustee, 1909-1915; Chairman of the Board of Trustees, 1910-1914; Financial Secretary, 1911-1912; Editor "Concordia Banner" 1893-1903; "Concordia Record," 1903-1910.

Married Valborg C. Nelson in 1894.
